Swallows in the nest

It is hard to believe that three weeks after the first swallow pics were taken they have already grown to this size. Squashed though they are, they have still not left the nest. If only humans could manage this sibling harmony.

4 new swallows

In my workshop dropping birdshit neatly not in the nest but over my tools these swallows are 2 days old, and the second batch of young this year. The parents are making up for the loss of their last batch last year at the teeth and claws of red nature in the form of a feral cat. Roger Morton
